About Us

We’re a fast-growing cannabis cultivation startup in Connecticut, building our operations from the ground up. We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Compliance Specialist who’s excited to roll up their sleeves and ensure our facility stays 100% compliant with state regulations while helping us build a strong culture of operational integrity. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in startup environments, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and wants to make a direct impact.

What You’ll Do

Regulatory Compliance & Auditing

  • Stay current with all Connecticut cannabis regulations and ensure operational alignment across cultivation and post-harvest.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with DCP rules on facility operations, security, product handling, labeling, and recordkeeping.
  • Collaborate with cultivation, post-harvest, and packaging teams to ensure compliant workflows and documentation.
  • Monitor daily activity logs and batch records for accuracy and completeness.

Inventory Accuracy & Tracking

  • Manage and monitor inventory using BioTrack to ensure alignment with physical product on-site.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in coordination with cultivation and post-harvest teams.
  • Support cycle counts, reconciliations, and the accurate manifesting of product movements within BioTrack.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Own the accuracy and completeness of compliance documentation including SOPs, manifests, waste logs, and product movement records.
  • Support the preparation and timely submission of all regulatory reports and license-related documentation.
  • Help develop and maintain SOPs for all compliance-critical workflows.

Inspection Readiness & Team Enablement

  • Keep the facility inspection-ready at all times; help lead state audits or spot checks.
  • Train staff on compliance best practices, SOPs, and changes in regulations.
  • Serve as a day-to-day compliance resource for team leads and frontline staff.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, cannabis operations, or a highly regulated industry (pharma, food, biotech).
  • Strong working knowledge of BioTrack and Connecticut cannabis compliance regulations.
  • Passion for process accuracy, organization, and operational discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Startup mindset: you’re proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in cannabis cultivation, post-harvest, or inventory control.
  • Background in compliance software systems or internal audit.
  • Strong Excel or database skills.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and potential for rapid growth.
  • Benefits package (health, dental, vision, PTO).
  • The chance to shape a cannabis business from the ground floor up.
