About Us

We’re a fast-growing cannabis cultivation startup in Connecticut, building a high-performance operation from the ground up. We’re looking for a sharp, hands-on SiteController to own the financial operations at the facility, everything from bookkeeping and reporting to budgeting and compliance. This is a unique opportunity for a finance professional who’s hungry for growth and ready to wear multiple hats in a startup environment.

What You’ll Do

Bookkeeping & Day-to-Day Accounting

  • Own all site-level bookkeeping, including AP/AR, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Ensure proper GL coding and tracking for all financial transactions.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Lead month-end close, reconcile accounts, and generate timely internal financial statements.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, variance reports, and management dashboards.
  • Support the development of KPIs, margin tracking, and department-level budget performance.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control

  • Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and spend tracking across departments.
  • Collaborate with cultivation and operations teams to monitor inventory and production costs.
  • Track capital expenditures and align spending with project timelines and priorities.

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Support internal controls, documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure financial operations align with Connecticut state cannabis regulations.
  • Assist in annual tax preparation and support external accountants and auditors as needed.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of accounting or finance experience, ideally in manufacturing, agriculture, or cannabis.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and general financial modeling.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Eagerness to grow into a broader strategic finance role as the business scales.
  • Experience in cannabis operations or inventory-heavy industries.
  • Understanding of Connecticut’s cannabis regulations and cost accounting practices.
  • Exposure to ERP systems, cost tracking, or supply chain finance.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and the chance to step into a leadership role as we grow.
  • Benefits package (health, dental, vision, PTO).
  • A front-row seat to the buildout of a cannabis business from day one.
  • A team-first culture where hustle, problem-solving, and ambition are rewarded.
